Polar Express birthday party?

Hi you crafty mamas,

I am planning to give my ds a Polar Express themed party for his fourth birthday. He is absolutely obsessed with the movie and his birthday is on Dec first. Does anybody have some cool ideas on how to recreate one of the scenes in our living room? I don't have a great imagination but I really want to make the decorations myself. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you get your hands on a bunch of cardboard boxes, you and DS could make a train for the party goers to play in. Appliance stores might have large boxes. Cut out windows & doors before the party, and DS could draw on wheels and other details.

Line up chairs like train-seats and serve hot-chocolate!

Lots of paper snowflakes hanging everywhere. A Christmas tree. A big printout of the train itself hanging on the wall. I like the cardboard box train idea.
