what should I do?

Ok well I am currently on the Tri-Sprintec BC in order for me to have periods because I am not regular at all but today I received the generic form of Provera. I would rather take the provera just for the simple fact that it is not a BC but I don't know when to start it. I am currently on the last week of the BC which means the white pills that make my period come down. Do I stop taking the BC and just start the provera or is there a certain time to start the provera? I will gladly take any information or advice. Thanks in advance!

When I have been given Provera in the past (because i have unGODLY long cycles sometimes) my doctor just tells me to start taking it and within a week of finishing the pills my period should start. (i think i was given 10 days worth of pills) I usually would start 6 to 7 days after starting the pills instead of after i finihsed the pills. If i was you i would go ahead and finish taking the birth control and start the provera too. If you aren't really sure your nurse at the office should be able to tell you if you should start them. I think you are supposed to take them at the same time every day like you do BCP's too. G/L
