Cloth Solutions for Older Kids Who Wet the Bed?

Does anybody know of anyone who sells (or who might custom make) some cloth training pants for older kids that could replace Goodnites? The "normal" toddler-oriented training pants are simply too small. We already use a mattress pad that goes on top of the sheets, but I'd like to have 1-3 pairs of training pants as well. The cost and environmental impact of the Goodnites gets to me... plus the fact that they don't seem to work that well anyway.

TIA.

Couple Places

I know that the Bed Wetting Store sells washable absorbent underwear (which I think are just kid-sized diapers). I don't know anything about the product at all, but we order all of our mattress covers from the Bed Wetting Store and I've been very happy with their service.

bedwettingstore.com

There are a number of other websites around though that sell cloth diapers for adults and older children. You often find them under products for bedwetting, incontinence, and people with special needs.

How big is your child? I use Happy Heiny's training pants on DS1 at night. He's 40-ish lbs and has chunky legs. I got large ones and put a double soaker in. http://www.happyheinys.com/pocket_trainers.php

we just ordered some super undies. the happy heiny trainers are kind poofy imo. the other ones that make bigger sizes, snap-ez trainers.

Thanks everybody. DS1 weighs over 70 pounds, so I ended up going with the Snap-EZ.

In case anybody else finds this thread on a search and is dealing with bedwetting with an older kid, I highly highly recommend the book, "Waking Up Dry" by Howard Bennett, M.D. We took out 4-5 of the bedwetting books from the library, and this one was by far the best (IMHO).

Yeah, we call them balloon pants. DS1 thinks they're a riot, though... But they work, we never get leaks no matter how much pee.
