So, DS (12 month) has been working with neurology since age 7 months. He has dx of central hypotonia, gross motor and speech delays, macrocephaly with Chiari malformation, and now hyperkinesia. He has significant motor and verbal tics. The neuro is calling the motor tics hyperkinesia. She says babies with hyperkinesia end up with OCD, ADHD, or both. I asked about Tourettes and she feels he is too young for that diagnosis. He is in ST, OT, and PT.
Any experience with hyperkinesia? Also, mamas with little ones who have been diagnosed with ADHD or OCD, did your kids have abnormal movements as babies?
