Ft Drum CYS denied Religious exemption again

So, I submitted to CYS the exception to policy for religious exemption to vaccinations. Last time they denied it saying the Chief of Preventiative medicine could read the regulation however he felt it should be read and requires a letter from my church or preist stating our "church" is against vaccinations. I submitted the request again, this time with a little more knowledge and info. Once again, the nurse calls and says the letter is required. I gave her all the info regarding the army regulation, the Dodea regulation, etc, she said DOdea has nothing to do with them, they follow the Dept of Health SOP which says the Cheif of PM must approve it, and he wont without the letter. That New York State law has no bearing on them either. I said so you're telling me he can request I provide a letter from the Pope if he wants to, and thats legal?? She said well, its not the Pope though. I said that isnt the point, he cant just make up what he wants. I requested the denial in writing and asked also for him to state where it says in the regulation I must provide a letter from my preist or church. She said she'd get that to me. Im at a loss. This seems like a losing battle. What should I do now?

First off - wait till you actually get it in writing - then, it's time to take it up the chain of command

I'd check up on her every couple of days, though I wouldn't wait longer than 2wks.

They tried to give us a hard time here on our base until my DH said he wanted it in writing why they were refusing to accept my exemption based on my sincere religious beliefs. He said he wanted everything in writing, why they were denying and what exactly they wanted. He then said they had to also state in writing the specific regs they were looking at to deny us. We never got anything in writing because after he said all this, they said our children could be admitted and the lady was sweet as pie.
