I recently started taking St. John's Wort and have a Mirena IUD. Yesterday, I read an article in the paper that mentioned St. John's Wort can make birth control pills less effective, but I can't find too much about it affecting the Mirena.
My GYN didn't mention anything about it when I saw her last week - I told her I had started taking St. John's Wort and she didn't say boo.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
