I will be having a repeat c-section in December. I have had two previous c-sections which I've recovered from just fine.
But because of the time of year and the fact that I now already have two little ones at home to care for, I'm worried about becoming too run down before the c-section (and/or after) and I would like to give my body whatever boost I can. I have about 10 weeks to prepare.
Does anyone have any suggestions for supplements, exercises, or other preparations that will help me have an optimal recovery?
I'm researching this independently, but thought I'd see if anyone here has any recommendations. So far I'm seeing some info for vitamin E and zinc supplementation prior to and after surgery to boost skin and tissue repair. But that's all I've found so far.
This being mothering.com, I know many will likely question the necessity of a repeat c-section, but please believe that this is a well considered decision and the option I am most comfortable with under my circumstances. I do not like the idea of another surgery, but am determined to make the best of it!
