Where to buy needles in bulk

I was thinking I should just buy a bunch of sewing machine needles instead of small expensive packages from JoAnn.

Where can I get a bunch for cheap? I prefer a variety of sizes, and some ball point as well. I have both Brother and Singer machines which take the same needles and usually just buy universal needles (the kind that are rounded with a flat bit on the back part)


I looked on ebay but only saw industrial machine ones, or all one size, and smaller lots.

I use Organ needles for my sewing machine and embroidery machines and have never had a problem. I purchase them from Marathon for 10 for $1.95 (I believe they discount even more if you purchase a gross as well). Their thread prices are pretty hard to beat too!

What are shipping costs like? (ebay I found one that was like $10 to send a small pack, crazy!)

I've actually had good luck buying a big lot of needles on Ebay. I usually buy Schmetz 80/12 universals.
