If they have a lifetime guarantee and you are the original owner, I say you should invoke the guarantee.

I live in Maine and believe me almost everyone here will return a Bean item if they are not satisfied, its not a big deal at all.

I once mentioned on the phone when ordering something else from LLB that the backpack I bought years ago there had a broken zipper. The woman insisted that I send it back asap and they put a new zipper in it, no charge. Seriously, those folks are super nice about this sort of thing.

I agree with your 2nd paragraph!

Unless you stored them in the garage (maybe..) or outside (definitely not good!), then I see no reason they should be as worn out as they are from what you described!
