Massachusetts Exemption - partially vaxed

Thread Starter
I have found (and hopefully) bookmarked copies of the mass exemption letter. However - my DD was initially vaxed, so her med records will show that. However - she is currently "out of date" according to the doctor's standards.

Do I include the vax page with the exemption letter for pre-school? Or do I pretend she never had any vaxes at all?

BTW - her bro is in the same preschool. Neither of them has had any shots in the past year, but HE had enough early in life to be considered currently up-to-date. I did not do an exemption form for him, but will have to next year at Kindy.

Do you think one sibling exempted and one not exempted is going to be an issue?

thanks!

Just submit the exemption. If it is found out or questioned, you just need to state that your religious epiphany happened after the last vaccinations were done. You are allowed to have a religious change of heart at any time.

If you plan an vaccinating in the future, you need to be careful about your states vaccine registry coming back to bite you.

Hello. I am also a Massachusetts mom and would love to hear what the result was with your DD entering preschool partially vaxed? I just assumed I would submit the religious exemption letter and that would be the end of it, but after speaking with the leader at my son's preschool (hopefully), it was apparent that no one had ever submitted an exemption and she made it clear that my son would need to be 100% up to date or the state would come and "remove him from the program".  I also don't know any other mothers that have selectively vaxed like we have, and therefore would really love to hear how everything worked out for you. Hopefully you're still checking the forum...

I never submitted any other paperwork than the "healthy child" letter from our ped and the vax exemption form.  See my reply on a newer thread for a sample of the letter you can submit without issue.
