Hi, I just found out yesterday that I have an infected tooth. Here's a little background, about a year and a half ago I was at the end of pregnancy and my back molar broke, I had absolutely no pain. I went into the dentist and he built it up with a temporary, he said the tooth needed a crown and we scheduled it for a few monthes later. After I got the crown done and I was in immediate pain. He told me the temporary crown was just not as good as the permanent and the pain would go away after they put the permanent on. It didn't, I got in to see him again and he took an x-ray. He said there was no sign of infection, but that there probably was one and I now needed antibiotics and a root canal. I was completely against that, after reading Dr. Weston Prices research, I also didn't take the antibiotics. He said that I could wait and see if it settled down. Well, it did, after about six monthes. Now it has been beginning to hurt and throb, not all the time, but it's becoming more frequent and is mostly during the night. I went into a different dentist and she says it's infected (I could even see it on the xray). So now I guess my only option is extraction
. My question is, will the infection go away on it's own, without antibiotics? Also, we have been ttc. In the last 4 monthes I have had two early miscarriages, could that be related to this infection? I have also had several boils in the last several monthes, all on the same side of my body as the tooth, could this mean the infection has spread through my body? TIA.
