My 11mo DD has 5 visible teeth and is clearly working on some more. What I have read about teething says that the gums will be red often where a tooth is about to come through, which makes sense, but hers are very red only underneath the two bottom front teeth were her first to come in and have been there for 7 or 8 weeks. They have been like this for several days and I have been attributing it to normal teething symptoms, but is it? It seems like the redness should be more near her newer teeth and emerging teeth and it isn't at all. What you you all think? I am planning to make her a dental appt anyway but am just wondering in the meantime if I should be doing anything besides teething tablets to try to help her out.
