We haven't used the pinhole glasses but the red-green glasses have worked exceptionally well for my daughter. It may depend on what you're treating, though. DD has amblyopia so we're trying to train her eyes to be "on" at the same time. We mostly play card games with red-green cards that force her to use both eyes at once. Do you see an optometrist? Ours was able to order a few things for us for much cheaper than what you find online!

I had a pair of these more than 20 years ago. It was comfortable for my eyes, they seemed like they were getting a break from the glasses, and I could see with them on. They were interesting, but I wouldn't say they did anything permanent toward fixing my eyesight.
