I would love to be able to send my DS to Waldorf next year for a couple of 1/2 days a week. We do not have the money for long-term Waldorf education in our area (it is around $16,000/year for grade school) but really wanted him to have an early childhood foundation in the Waldorf style. I plan on homeschooling him for the remainder of his grade school years if we indeed stay in Chicago.
My question is this - when applying for the Waldorf school, do I tell them about this plan? Will they be more likely to pass up up if they know we cannot afford the school in the long-term? What are some of the other things the administrators look for when deciding who gets admitted? DS is very, very shy and I wonder if this has an impact on the decision?
Thanks mamas
