Ha ha ha!! Like an orphanage!!! I wish I knew that one back with dd1 and all my traditional parenting friends kept telling me to do CIO!!! I would probably feel too mean saying it but would wish I could! Now with dd2, I just do don't ask, don't tell, and mhmm, and pass the bean dip.

I just emailed her regarding this little DS (3mo) "I know you're worried about how he's growing, but here's some info on why cereal doesn't help babies sleep longer - and here's one on the benefits of exclusively breastfeeding for six months."

I'm hoping she doens't bring it up again but I doubt that will do it. Of course, it's absurd that she's worried about him given that he's 15 pounds now but ...

That said, I agree with PP - you'll never change these people - I fielded the same questions about BFing, cosleeping, no cio, etc, etc with DD and I'm doing it all again.
Whenever people questioned me about my ds only BF'ing before 6mo I would just say, "He's THRIVING! Why on earth would I change what I'm doing??" No one could argue with that - not even his ped who wanted me to start solids at 4mo and when I said no, that he was doing just great so there was no reason to change anything the ped just grunted and moved on. LOL!
