Lately my skin is very dry, I'm eating healthy, taking good quality supp and omegas 3's, using only natural stuff such as coconut oil and jojoba oil and for some reason my skin is extremely dry. Help me trouble shoot, is there a vit or mineral deficiency that could be responsible for this dryness, are there any foods I should eat or avoid? I'm planning on including BO/CLO in my diet, I'm hoping this super foods will help me aleviate this annoying condition.
Any tips? pretty please

Do you have something else going on? Did you notice something triggering it? Does it go with your cycles at all? Are you getting enough water intake?

In peace & health

My skin has been like that for a while now(about 3 months), it doesn't change with my cycles and I have no idea what the cause is. I think I do get enough water, I drink coffee but I always did so I don't think caffein is causing it. It's not just my skin,my mouth feels dry, I have dandruff, something is making me dry all over my body and I can't figure out why this is happening.
I've tried cell salts hoping they would help but they did not

The first thing that comes to mind is peri-menopause. Decreased estrogen not only causes vaginal dryness but skin dryness, as well. Possibility?

Have you tried upping your omega 3s?

Do you have any indigestion problems? That sounds similar to carbohydrate indigestion. I agree hormones could be playing a part as well.

I'm 30, too early for peri-menopause.

I take 2000 mg of omega 3s + lots of fish, flax seed, flax seed oil on regular basis

Could be, never had my thyroid tested.
I've looked up symptoms of low thyroid online, dry skin is the only one I see in myself but testing is not going to hurt, right?

I think I may have figured out what the cause of the dryness is. I have just read in Your Vital Child that vit A deficiency may be responsible for dryness of the skin and bumps on the back of arms which I have and am trying to fight with exfoliation without success. Will try to get more Vit A and see if the dryness disappears, if not will test my thyroid.
Thank you all for great suggestions

Could be a fat digestion/fat usage problem. If you are taking more omega 3's but your body is not processing them it can make your skin dry. Low vitamin D causes me dryness. I have to have the right balance of all the fat soluble vitamins or I get dry skin: A, D, K, Omegas...

THANK you for this thread! I too have been having odd dry skin probs and have always had bumps on the backs of my arms. I am ordering some vital choice salmon oil so I will be intrested to see if that helps (I am assuming it could be a vitamin a prob with me.)
Can you update once you start using your clo/bo?
