Coughing in family

Sorry this is kind of a cross post, I also posted it over to the vaccination board to get advice.

I had a flu-like cold the last few days (sore throat, aches, heavy chest) now I just have a cough that is pretty minor that won't go away. I cough up phlem when I cough too. Now hubby has gotten sick, has a sore throat and congestion.

My 4mo DD is very slightly coughing here and there today - she is exclusively BF. Seems very healthy otherwise.

Would we know if it were whooping cough? Would it be reasonable to do vitamin C (i have pure ascorbic acid?)? The weather went from 100 degree days to 40-60 degrees, and i think colds are going around so that may be it?

thanks...

I was about to ask you if you were in texas, when I saw the shift in whether-- then I saw your location!!!

We are all coughing here too. My bet, for us, is allergies-- when the weather shifts like that, things start to bloom again. The other thing is that it's gotten very, very dry. Maybe running the humidifier a bit would help?

I don't know anything about whooping cough, though.

Weve had the same shift up in Upstate NY, and are also fighting coughs.

We are laying on the Vit C and Vit d and going about our days.

Good Luck!
