Question about MY health (but relating to dd)

Ive recently joined weight watchers to lose a few pounds. I went to a meeting last night and we talked about portion control and stopping when you feel full, etc. The ONLY suggestion everyone gave was "eat slower and listen to your body for fullness".
Well, I asked the question "I eat most of my meals on the go or standing up because dd2 keeps me so busy, how am I supposed to chew my food 20 times or take an hour to eat?" There were maybe 15 moms that said "Feed the kid first and then put them in front of the tv or let them run wild" I didnt want to open the can of worms about dd2s medical problems including the gtube.

I eat a lot of meals on the floor next to dd FAST because she needs to be flat when shes fed. Her meal/med/dr appt/therapy schedule keeps me on the go. Im actually having success with WW, but it IS a lot of planning and charting, which I do find time for.

Do you guys have any advise or encouragement? I DO have time for a little exercise if I schedule it right, I DONT have time for hour-long meals!

Instead of what they said, you could set a timer for 20-30 minutes as it supposedly takes about 20 minutes for your tummy to tell your brain that you are full.

Also, you can drink a glass of water before mealtime. I drink a lot of ice water with lemon.
