My midwife suggests not using them together (she has had bad experiences with mom and babies heartrates with both used)
using black cohosh alone (the safer of the two from what I have read online) did nothing for me. I didnt even buy it until I was past 40 weeks... but DD2 came along on her own at 41w6d with no help from anything, despite me trying from 40 weeks on with cohosh, castor oil, nipple stimulation, walking, lots of sex, eggplant parmesan, wine, etc.

Well I am following her recommendations on it, I have just read different ways of taking it so I was just curious what has worked or hasn't worked with other people. And I am only 3 days 'overdue' but I've had 3 different due dates, so not really going by how 'overdue' I am more of just a timeframe.

I'm sorry I don't recall the exact dosage I took (I do remember it was every 30mins), but I did take black & blue cohosh just past my due date with baby #3. I did go right into an extremely fast labor, but there ended up being meconium in my water. That worried my MW. She never recommends the cohoshes for that very reason. Since then I have read many mentions of mec in the water when women take cohoshes, so I've not taken it again. Instead I've taken castor oil. Sends me right into labor every time! Have you considered trying that instead?
