A monthly thread to talk about all of our various journeys through the difficult, trying, and often heartbreaking world of infertility. This thread is a place to chat, vent, get support, cheer each other on, and hopefully occasionally laugh!

Testing:
Trying Since: March 2009
Plan for this Cycle: starting Lupron next Thursday then Puregon/IUI/prometrium
Link to Chart (if applicable):
Thoughts: Despite how sad I am about our recent losses I am ready to start trying again. I just had some blood work done for recurrent pregnancy loss. It is supposed to take 4-6 weeks to come back. Hopefully it will provide us with some answers.
Just lurking over here a bit...been spending most of my time on the IVF thread.

Lesliesara - just trying to catch up on my threads and saw your posts and wanted to send you a and let you know I'm thinking about you. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you with this upcoming cycle. Take care!!! to all the rest of you ladies too!!

Can I please be added to the TTC #1 list?

Name: First Shot Photo
Age: 20
TTC #: 1
CD: 31
DPO (if applicable): I didn't ovulate this cycle =(
Testing: Just got progesterone levels test back. I was on 100mg of Clomid this time and my levels were 0.8!! I had a level of 13 on 50mg, so I am going back to that dose.
Trying Since: Feb 2009
Plan for this Cycle: Go back down to the 50mg of Clomid, and hope that my levels as are good as they were last time at 50mg.
Link to Chart (if applicable): Not charting yet again. I will start back up ASAP though. I need to buy a new thermometer.
Thoughts: I'm really depressed about the effects of the 100mg of Clomid. Back down to 50 I guess..
Hi ladies. Can I join?

Name: no5no5
Age: 31
TTC #: 2
CD: 1
DPO (if applicable):
Testing: Whenever I feel like wasting more money.
Trying Since: October '07
Plan for this Cycle: I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back & let me know. We'll probably go for Clomid & progesterone this time around.
Link to Chart (if applicable):
Thoughts: I've just finished up my first cycle on Clomid. The hope (not my hope, particularly, but my doctor's) was that the Clomid would lengthen my luteal phase. No such luck. I actually made it to 10 days, which is the top end of normal of for me. CD 21's progesterone level was 2. The nurse says that probably means that I ovulated, but clearly it's not where it should be. Two more Clomid cycles to go, then on to IVF!

Added you ladies!!

Weekend Wrap-Up
Name:MoOnFiReGlOw
Age: 28
TTC #: 4
CD: 11
DPO (if applicable): not quite yet! Hopefully I do ovulate this month!!
Testing: Not anytime soon
Trying Since: April 09
Plan for this Cycle: Take my vitamins and exercise and attempt to stick with it!
Link to Chart (if applicable): Nothing much to see
Thoughts: Well a LOT has been going on! I'm on cd11, but still bleeding. One program I'm using says I'm still at the beginning of a cycle, the other says I had a really super short cycle and I'm on cd 2 b/c its impossible to bleed for longer than 7 days so who knows? I'm just really hoping this bleeding stops soon b/c I really don't want to have to go to the doctor

On a positive note my dh's back is FINALLY feeling better and he is off the meds that the docs thought were preventing him from making sperm so now if my body could get in gear maybe we could make something happen!

Name: Sara
Age: 30
TTC #: 2 (but primary IF, as dd came us through adoption)
CD: 3
DPO (if applicable): nope
Testing: I always say no, but secretly hope to make it enough days to make testing worthwhile!
Trying Since: 2002, on and off, but trying while gluten free for just under a year
Plan for this Cycle: first and foremost, keep the gluten away!! also, remember my vitamins and probiotics
Link to Chart (if applicable):
Thoughts: still trying to go long enough without gluten for my body to stand a chance at normalizing, and until that happens we are not going any further with the dr. Am considering seeing an autoimmune disease specialist (if we can find one - first step - what would that sort of dr be called?) to see if we can work out what is going on in my body and be able to formulate a better plan.

Moonfireglow - that is awesome news about your dh and the meds!!

Thanks hun! They say it takes around 3 months for the 'bad' sperm to be replaced by good ones, so I'm a bit sad it will take that long but what is a few more months compared to the 1+ year we have been trying??

Honestly hun, if you just had a ton of endo removed, I'd probably wait a month before taking the clomid. That's just me though! If you are questioning it at all, wait.

AFM - I'm so excited ladies! My dh has gotten his libido back That really makes me think it was these meds that were causing all the issues. I'm crossing my fingers that these swimmers rejuvenate quickly!!

Good luck to both of you! Things sound promising.

I'm starting Lupron on Thursday. A bit nervous about all the needles. Good thing Mike isn't scared of using a needle, since I am.

Well, clomid is very cheap, especially if you're only going to try it for a few cycles (which is really all you should do). I have heard that it can make endo worse. But right after the surgery that effect might be less. I don't know. I guess you make the decision you are least likely to regret.

Can you please change my info up above? DH and I are both 36 now and since I have lost weight my hormones don't seem to be unbalanced anymore. Now I'm considered "unexplained infertility". Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I ovulated yesterday so now the TWW starts! Hope springs eternal How is it that you can have this little seed of hope, when every month for two years now the thing you have been hoping and praying for doesn't happen? How exciting is this though....I was probably in my fertile stage this past week for my fourth wedding anniversary!! It would be cool if that was the BD'ing that finally did it

Hope everyone has a great week!

Testing: Not for a while
Trying Since: April 09
Plan for this Cycle: Take my vitamins
Link to Chart (if applicable): http://www.tcoyf.com/members/Amitiel/charts/17.aspx
Thoughts: Well the bleeding FINALLY stopped after 12 days and then apparently I ovulated 6 days later? Ah well, our timing is perfect if I do end up O'ing this early! I can't help but be a bit excited since this is our first cycle with dh off the meds...but I know I shouldn't get my hopes up too much since it takes a while for the meds to get out of his system.

CD: 12
DPO (if applicable): 0...I think I O'd today, but time will tell.
Testing: 2 weeks from today?
Trying Since: October '07
Plan for this Cycle: Clomid & progesterone. I'll probably start the P in 3 days.
Thoughts: I'm just waiting for a temp rise so I can start my progesterone. I'm super excited to see if my LP is longer, and also to have an excuse for my insanity.
Ok. I had my post-surgery followup yesterday.
My RE suggested that I come in the next cycle on day 21 for a progesterone to see how well I'm ovulating, and if it's good, to try on our own for a few months. Or, if it's not good, to go right on to clomid.
So, dh is just SO upset that he's got to have lots of sex.
Here's to "practice makes perfect!"
