Any thoughts on if this is really a healthy food or not? I recently bought a jar of Nutiva coconut manna and am loving it, so much actually that it worries me a bit. In my experience anything that tastes so good to me is not good for me to have around in large quantities
, but I don't seem to be having any negative effects (like eating way too much to where I start to feel sick which I have done with things like peanut butter, grapes, and blueberries) from the coconut manna. It does taste pretty sweet (which I'm sure is a huge reason I really like it), but there is only 1g sugar per TB listed on the label so it doesn't appear like there is a lot of sugar in it.
I am still trying to have a tablespoon or so of coconut oil a day, but figure eating a few tablespoons (I have been going into the jar with a teaspoon about 7 or 8 times a day so I figure it adds up to a few TBs) of the coconut manna a day makes up for the days I miss the coconut oil (never enjoyed eating coconut oil straight). And right now I'm so busy and tandem nursing that a healthy calorie-dense food that is easy to eat and I actually really like is a good thing for me. Just wondering if this fits the bill or is too good to be true.
