Here's your buddy in 1st post

I saw that another DDC did this and found it interesting. We didn't do it in my DDC 3 years ago. I think the basic idea is that you are matched with someone from the DDC, you exchange numbers and you text or call your DDC buddy when you are in labor so they can update the board and we can support each other in our birthing times. What do you all think?

We did it in my last DDC, and it was great. So count me in- especially if it doesn't involving me having to organize it

I'm in! What a beautiful thought-all the women of the DDC holding you in their thoughts/prayers on the big day. Imagine absorbing all that positive energy!

I agree, those thoughts and vibes can be a powerful thing.

Emily, you have enough on your plate with your little one, working full time, and doing all the spotlights!

I can organize this. I'll just leave it open for another week or 2, call for any last participants and then match people up. Should we match by close due dates or keep them a couple weeks apart? Does it matter to anyone?

I've never done this before, but it seems to me you wouldn't want due dates that are too close together in case both the mamas go into labor at the same time...or is it more fun that way?

I'm in! I personally would LOVE to know that you all are praying/vibing for me during labor! I think further apart due dates would probably be better.

Sarah: if you don't want to do it, I"d love to! I need something to keep me occupied in Dec., anyway, so if you want me to take it, or if you want to split it somehow, I'd be happy to do that, too.

Emily, there won't be anything to do in Dec, but if you'd like to do it's fine with me. I was just going to let this thread got for a while, update the title to call for last minute entries, match people by due date (try to get everyone 2 weeks apart, but it's going to be hit and miss either way!) and post the matches. I figure everyone can then PM their partner with their phone #. I was thinking about having it posted and done by early Nov so we don't miss someone going early. So just let me know if you want to take over, you can start a new thread as a sign up or let me know when you want me to change the title of this one. I'm flexible!
