Widowed Parents - would you like a subforum?

I'm trying to find out whether there's a need or desire from other members for a sub-forum for those of us who've been widowed to talk about what we're dealing with and the very particular issues that come up for kids when a parent dies.

I know there's a Parents subforum on YWBB but I personally would love to talk to other MDC mamas who are walking the same path as me.

If you are interested, please reply to this thread and I'll let the powers that be know if there's any interest.

I'm a widowed mom - my husband died 9 years ago and my children are now adults. I think I'm past your stage of issues.. but I can tell you that a site which helped enormously if you haven't heard of it before now is www.widownet.org they are a great forum for widowed parents and non-parents of all ages and may offer you much insite.

Please go start a thread in our Finding Your Tribe area! It's specifically for members to create a space for mamas to find mamas-in-common and could be a great support resource. That's why it's there.

I was widowed some years ago in my 20s (we hadn't gotten to having kids yet). I am now remarried and finally have my son. I just wanted to say I wish you the best.
