my covers are stinky any tips?

we use bumis sww and thirsties dou wrap and both hold the smell of pee but also/more so poop even when not soiled after one poop and the wash isn't getting the smell out. we use prefolds that are only a few months old so they are still super thick. I wash covers seperatly from dipes as long as they aren't super nasty. covers get washed about 1-2 times a week and wait in a dry basket until it's time. also our pocket diapers, bum genius and wonderoos, do the sane thing.

do i need to strip the covers or something?

i wash them on cold with country save, second rinse. should i do bs and vinegar with the covers like i do with the dipes?

I would recommend washing the covers on hot, and probably more often then just 1-2x a week. Every other day or every two days would be ideal. Even better would be if you could at least rinse the covers at the end of every day and hang to dry overnight, that would probably help keep the pee smell at bay until washing day.
