Test Again or Wait?

My DH is certain that I am pregnant. He has been saying that since 3DPO. I have faith that the Lord will Bless us according to His will and His time. However, I don't want to get too excited that this it and then crash hard as this journey has been very long for us.

I am on CD24 of a 27 day cycle and 12 or 13 DPO. I should start AF on Sunday or Monday.
My body is acting weird, so there is reason to hope. Starting about a week ago, I have had bloating, tender/sore & itchy/tingly breasts, almost constant cramp/twinge/pressure feelings in my uterus, stronger sense of smell (some things turn my stomach slightly), hungry & thirsty more and urinating more volume (this started before the thirst increase). And today I have been tired all day even though I slept well last night.

The other night we were stopped to open our gate and I said "Oh skunk!" My dh got out and opened the gate and got back in the car and said "There is no skunk smell out there" I asked "Are you sure?" He said "Yes, there is no skunk smell." I asked rather confused "So, why do I smell a skunk?" He said "Because you are pregnant!" LOL

I have tested twice and got BFNs, on Tues with a dollar store test and today with a FRER. I even tried my (answer brand) OPK's -nothing.
My Mom will be here tomorrow for a visit and I would like to tell her in person. So should I test again in the morning? Can a test go from stark white to "yes, I see a line" in one day?

I just found out recently the deal on sore breasts.

If you start having sore breasts and nipples a few days after ovulation, you can’t assume that you’re pregnant. A good sign is if the breast discomfort does not subside and the breasts continue to increase in size and your period is late. That is because there is an initial progesterone surge after ovulation to prepare for possible conception (leading to water retension that causes sore breasts), but if no conception happens, then the progesterone level decreases over the next few days, water in the body comes out in the form of increased pee, and the sore breasts symptom lessens considerably just before the period comes.

I think I'm out this cycle because my boobs were REALLY sore in the week after ovulation, but now the soreness seems to be tapering off.

Good luck to you, hope you get your wish soon!

I've never gotten a BFP before, but yes, I do think a test can go from stark white one day to BFP the next, as your hormones should be increasing pretty quickly if you are pregnant. As always with testing, though, you just have to be prepared for the possibility of a BFN, which always sucks.

Best of luck to you!

When you tested with the FRER, did you use FMU? I have never gotten a BFP, but it would make sense that if you take a FRER in the evening and it is BFN, you could get a BFP on a FRER the next morning because the Hcg is more concentrated in your urine in the morning AND if you are pregnant the levels are constantly increasing...

Thanks Ladies for your replies.
I have not tested since Thursday morning (I always use first in the morning urine). I got a BFN. I know it still could be too early to show, I just want to see those two lines after two years of TTC.

My Breasts are still tender and now I have to deal with itchy and tingly nipples, which usually is not this intense and only lasts a few days post O.
I am urinating more. My hunger and thirst has continued to increase, my blood sugar crashed twice on Saturday even though I am used to eating only twice a day. So I have been eating three times a day for about a week now. Weds night I was very nauseated and could not sleep (I also only ate twice on Weds). And for the last three nights, I have wanted to go to bed at 7:30! I still have some bloating and uterine activity, though not as much. Oh and I have become more emotional, which I usually am not.

I had a lovely visit with my Mom. She said I didn't need to show her a positive test with as much as I went to the bathroom and how hungry I was along with yawning all day.

Yep. You certainly can go from BFN to BFP in one day. It happened to me with DS. BFN, I mean snow white, on 10dpo w/ FMU and 24 hours later a clear 2 lines! ANd I used FRER's 5 day early test both times. HTH? GL!

I am done obsessing

While it is very sweet that my DH obsesses, I wish he had not done so with such certainty. I got all excited and then... AF came. She is nearly gone now. I was hoping that it was just some early pregnancy spotting, but it came full on accompanied with nasty cramps. I continued to have "pregnancy" symptoms through AF too!

From now on, no symptom has any meaning until AF is late.

Just a side note, my mother had "periods" with all of her pregnancies the entire 9 months. I sometimes wonder if that will be the case for me.

See, I really must stop obsessing.

KBL7- I just wanted tell you that you are enncouragement to me! My DH & I are also believers, TTC #2, also waiting on the Father for His timing & Will. SOOOO often our plans are not His, but we're trying to wait in His arms & trust He knows the desires of our hearts. I was looking through our daughters baby scrapbook last night & saw the verse 1 Samuel 1:27 "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him". I hope you & your DH & us will be able to praise God with this verse soon! Thankyou for being an example as you trust God for the desires of our woman hearts, He made us to desire children, now we have to wait for Him.

Mohawk Mamma,

Glad I could be an encouragement. Letting me know that helps me remember there is a bigger picture to focus on.
Very interesting you should mention Samuel.
This week has been hard, but blessed with peace. At our church, we study a lesson throughout the week and then discuss it in our Sabbath School class.
This week was on Hannah. I struggled a bit to begin the lesson study, but then praised God for the peace He gave Hannah and also my DH and I.

Amanda- I love that God uses our own struggles/testimonies to work in others lives. I also commend you for your involvement at church/small group-type gatherings. I've been struggling with obeying His command to not forsake the fellowship of believers, just feel like staying home & not wanting to allow people into my life & keeping to ourselves, I know that's wrong.
