The title says it all.
Dd (age 6) is going on day 4 of what appears to be an 'icky virus' (the term used by her pediatrician when we were in earlier today). Her major symptoms are: high fever (102-104), severe headache and stomach cramps.
Dd threw up this morning and is now reluctant to drink or eat. I'm not so worried about the eating, but the drinking is getting me worried. She is also refusing the tylenol chewables. I'd be OK skipping them, EXCEPT she's clearly in pain and uncomfortable (she lies in bed and moans loudly while insisting I be there right next to her). But even with the Tylenol, she's reluctant to drink or eat. And when it wears off, I have hard time getting a new dose into her.
Since 12 noon, I've managed to get 1 popsicle into her, about 4 oz of apple juice and maybe 3 oz of water. Any tricks for getting her to drink more? Normally the lure of unlimited apple juice would be irresistible to her. But it's not.
(I realize this is sort of a Health and Healing topic but put it in parenting because it's more about how to get dd to drink more, not about the health problem per se. If it's in the wrong category, sorry.)
