It would depend upon whether you bought the 5 or 7 passenger. We had an 8 passenger 1998 for years and we fit 5 kids, all in either boosters or car seats, it was a tight fit for some of them but definitely do-able.... The seating arrangement with a 7 passenger is two in the front, three in the middle (usually with independently folding seats) and two in the third row. I am not sure if the newer models have the independently folding seats but this is what saved us soooo much hassle, we were able to leave one seat down for access to the third row. When we had five we had three Britax seats across the second row and two boosters in the third row. After a while we ended up switching seats around to make it easier for the older two, we put the 4 and 6 year old in the third row and the baby in the center rear facing with the older two on the outboard seats in the second row.
I will say that the year that we had was not great on gas and that with 5 kids there was no real storage for groceries. We ended up getting a larger vehicle after a few years. I loved that it had 4wd and that it was low enough that the kids could get in and out of the vehicle without too much climbing. The newer models get better mileage than the year that we had now. I would love to have another one, it was easier to park than what we have now and with the older two out of boosters we wouldn't have the seat stuff we had before, though now we would have to use the front seat for the oldest!
