How much do you all drink??!! I am doing electrolyte water, but am unable to make myself have a lot in the am... but still by night its over half a gallon. My lips and fingertips and the edges of my eyes all are dry/weird. I'm dying of thirst by 3 -4 am. I am upping my fats.. and trying to remember my water, just wondering how much other nursing moms have to drink...

Im terrible I dont drink anywhere near enough. I frequently get headaches and im sure its usually due to dehydration. it sounds lame, but with two young kids I often just forget to drink enough

I would guess I drink wwwaaaay less than a gallon a day - and I pump for my baby, so Im producing around 45oz of milk a day...not sure where i generate enough liquid for that. I must be better

It depends, but when I'm paying attention I drink 3-5 quarts a day. I think you should up your water intake because you are waking up thirsty.

Also, make sure you are getting lots of fruits and vegetables. They have lots of natural water in them, and I find then I was eating plenty of fruits and vegetables (like 5+ of veggies and at least 3 fruits) I don't need to drink as much water.

Its all about rembering... 3 other kids and four dogs, and too much stuff! Sometimes I'm envious of way back when, you know 4 kids = 4 maybe 8 outfits... my DD can leave more than that on the floor in a day! (but we HS and it is creative.. just messy) soo I know f I had a number (from what others drink) then it would be a goal, as well as a reminder that my gallon or two isn't so crazy an amount.
