kid stuff for w-e visitors to BURLINGTON Vt

Just found out we'll be in Burlington next weekend (really Shelburne Museum area) Have been sloughing through the websites for kid stuff in VT, but would love to hear from actual moms:

places to eat out with kids (reasonably priced, healthy food, good ambiance for young kids --live music would be super-cool)

best museums for kids (is Lake Champlain Maritime good for young kids? other?)

best non-museum experience/place for a 6 yrst old boy?

best beautiful-fall-weather place for a 6yo (if we get lucky)?

advice on any of these questions much appreciated!

here are some of our favorites. they are kid friendly, but not in the way that you can let your kids run around & get underfoot. I don't know of anywhere that has live music at dinner time.....Flatbread, Farmhouse Tap & Grill, The Spot most weekends there are lots of street musicians on Church Street

You could do VT Teddy Bear Factory (Shelburne area) and Ben & Jerry's factory tour/visit (only 25 minutes away). If the weather is yucky, you can do Pizza Putt (indoor mini golf).
