Mods, move this if it is in the wrong spot.
My 18 month old has figured out how to climb out of her crib. Luckily I was right there when she tumbled over the side and, though I was unable to catch her (across the room), I was right there to ensure she was okay and give her reassurances. (The crib was very low to the ground, so she only fell about 2-3 feet). I took it down and placed the mattress on the floor until we get her a toddler bed or a bed in a few months. Anyways, she won't just lay down and go to sleep for nap or bedtime. Now that she isn't confined to a crib, she thinks it is just playtime. I had to go in there and sleep on the floor next to her. If it helps, she's sick with a cold, too.
