5yo DS can retract foreskin. Now what?

So...it's retractable! All that handling he's done has served its purpose.
So how do we advise him to take care of/clean it? He's five years old. Thanks in advance!

At 5 keep it simple tell him that since he can make the skin go back that he can push it back in the bath and give it a swish then put it back. Making sure to emphasis the putting it back part.

That is all he ever needs to do until he is sexually active then he might want to add soap to the wash.

"...then he may want to add some soap..." could be a bit misleading.

In general, soap is not recommended for cleaning under the foreskin. There is no need for soap, and it can upset the balance of the moisture, Ph, and microorganisms that reside there, potentially causing irritation, unpleasant odors, and infections.

That said, many sites suggest that saop can be used, and there are men who do use soap apparently without problems.

Best general advice is the same for young and old, vulvas or foreskins: rinse with clean water.

Regards
