I think I read some place that Beet Kvass was OK to have while pregnant only if
you had been drinking it prior to pregnancy... well, I was drinking it very
intermittently prior to pregnancy, and probably hadn't had any in the
few/several weeks prior to conception. (I'm about 8 weeks now).
I have half a bottle (maybe a quart or so) of beet kvass in my fridge that I
made in the late spring or early summer (not with red beets incidentally, but
striped ones, so I am wondering if it is as beneficial). And now that I am
pregnant, my elimination is being affected to occur less frequently than I would
like(!). I should probably do more cultured foods, and I'd especially like to
add the beet kvass since the last time I drank it regularly, well, I was very
regular.
Does anyone know if it would be OK for me to start drinking that beet kvass now
and finish up the bottle or would it be best to do something else? (any advice is
welcome!)
thanks,
Sarah W.
