Washing meconium nb dipes in front loader

Thread Starter
About to do our first load....I've been just piling up the dirty meconium diapers in the wetbag next to the bed for two days. Wondering if we need to rinse the poo off each diaper and wipe first before throwing it all in our front loading washer. I feel like there might not be enough water in a front loader to shake all the sticky stuff loose.
Any other tips for using a front loader to wash cd's are appreciated too!

I've heard both using wet towels to trick the washer into thinking it has more laundry then you add or using 1/2 to 1 full bucket of water added. I have heard that meconium just comes out - do you have bac-out to try adding to them before the wash? I had planned to try that - my NB's due in a few weeks but I have a top loader. I also hear hanging them in the sun to get out stains works well also. Here is a link to a thread on diaperswappers.com that asks about tricking the FL. Best of luck!

Just wash 'em... I've never had problems with mec and my front-loader!

Ditto - just did ours in July and didn't need to add any extra water or anything. They came out perfectly clean and unstained.

I always just washed them. The meconium came right out in my FL washer.
