Cleaned my bathroom
Slept more than 2 hour in a row
Made breakfast for my kids (DD did it, lol)

Yes, to all of the above!!!

cleaned the house (it's horrible!!!)

put away clothes. They are clean, but stuffed into the hampers. Which is fine, until there are dirty clothes that need to go in them.

Ok, taking a rabbit trail here...

RE: DTD

I've always been told to wait until I was done bleeding to DTD. This was not a big deal with my other two since I was done spotting completely by 2.5 weeks PP. Here I am, now, 4 weeks out and still spotting. OK? Keep waiting? Go for it? What are you doing?
I wait 6 weeks... but Ive had stitches every time.
I was told to wait a week or 2 after I stopped bleeding, and then told that might be 6 weeks. I've been wondering about this as well, though honestly I'm not sure when we would find time anyways...

I have not DTD (but I have manually assisted DH twice!). I do not have the energy, because this time I have shaved, showered, cooked, cleaned, and read lots of books!

I have not put away laundry though, or cleaned bathrooms that REALLY need it. I might do that now. I am clearly insane.

-DTD
-Balanced the checkbook (going to do that today though, )
-Gone for a "real" grocery shopping trip (just a couple "pick up what sounds good" ones).

I would love to clean. But right now, it's Sooooo low on the priorities list.

Re: dtd...I always wait until I'm done bleeding, and even then I find that my motivation or interest is incredibly fleeting. One moment I can't wait to do it, then the next (or during ) I'd rather be doing just about anything else. I always feel bad about this. After waiting six weeks, dh is so looking forward to it, and wants it to last a long time. For me, I'd rather just make it as quick as possible. I have a hard time focusing on sex for very long while I have a young newborn...It's like my attention span for anything non-baby is about ten minutes. After that, I just want to be holding her, or at least checking on her. Dh asking me to stay focused on sex for any length of time actually makes me resentful. I've had to bite my tounge and not ask him to hurry...and it's the only time in our marriage when I can remember faking being happy about sex.

I have been lucky this time around, as DH is taking 6 weeks of vacation with me, so he will be home until after the first week of November. This means I get regular food, showers, and naps this time around. Very different than with DS!!

What I haven't done:
cooked a meal (though I am cooking a freezer meal tonight and adding fresh veggies on the side)
driven anywhere (still haven't gotten DH to install the carseat in my car )
stopped bleeding (every time it lets up and I think it's going to stop, it seems to just start right back up)
slept more than 3 hours at a time (DS is notorious for waking DD up right about the time I go to lay down)

We have not DTD but I have been back to work, grocery shopping, day trips, everything!
No DTD here either. I am hoping that having nothing yesterday or today might mean the bleeding has actually stopped now. I have thought this before though only to have it start back up heavier again. Midwives said its because I'm dooing too much, not really seeing the alternative though. Really though, seeing I'm 5 weeks pp tomorrow I'd like to be finished now.
I have also been cleaning, hiking, day tripping, and cooking (even a big Thanksgiving dinner this past weekend), and now preparing for our Disney trip in two weeks.
Okay so I guess I see why I'm still bleeding.
I am sure I could DTD, no bleeding for about a week now. But I am SO dry that I have no intention on even attemtping until I get good lube. And even then.... sigh. Still seems like too much work when I could be sleeping. lol

Enter slow male here: DTD means sex?

We haven't either if that's the case.

From the male perspective, I can't wait! However, looking at our baby and realizing that he came out of her and through there, makes me want to give her enough time to recuperate. God bless her.

LOL yes indeed... it means Doing The Deed or Doing The Dance (in reference to Baby Dancing or BDing... when trying to get pregnant)

My hubbys of the same mindset, thank goodness. Because I only imagine how much it tortures him.

Its so funny to hear him explain to his friends on XBox though... (and mind you I only hear half of the conversations) "...What? Oh... no. We could have sex when she was pregnant, as a matter of fact they suggest doing lots to try getting the baby out when you go past 40 weeks. Now, though, we have to wait 6 weeks because she had to get stitched up. So... yeah. 4 more to go."

I can only imagine what the other dudes said.

We dtd and let me just say 20 days, probably not quite enough healing time. It was good, but my cervix still feels kinda bruised, ok everything feels kinda bruised. The O triggered some serious uterine contractions too.
