Hello from Illinois!

Hi all

I wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I'm new to MDC but not to motherhood. I'm a SAHM to 3 wonderful kids, a 12 year old girl, 2 year old boy and I just had a beautiful baby girl a week and a half ago. She was my VBA2C baby. I've been lurking on this site for a while, but finally decided it was time to jump in.

DH and I have been married for 7 wonderful years and I cannot imagine life without him, he's definitely my BFF! We'll probably be having just one more LO (we have some disagreements about how many more we are going to have but we'll cross that bridge later I guess). I know DD2 is only a week old, but I can't wait to do it again

I am a cloth diapering, baby wearing, co-sleeping, breastfeeding momma. I'm also a natural child birth advocate. I had just about every intervention you can imagine during my 1st 2 labors and births. I got educated and decided that I would either do a natural VBA2C in the hospital if I could find a very supportive dr or I was fully prepared and excited about doing it at home with a midwife. I found out the OB I love is very supportive of VBA2C's and is the most natural minded OB I've ever met so I did the hospital VBAC. I'm leaning towards having a homebirth for the next one, not because the hospital I used was bad or I had any problems with my OB but I just like the idea of being home to give birth in a very intimate environment.

In what little spare time we have we ride horses. We currently have 4 horses although that fluctuates some from time to time. All of our kids ride too and thoroughly enjoy it. DD1 actually just got back from a weekend riding and camping with my parents. I haven't been riding for a while since I've either been pregnant or DS was too small to take on the trail with the horse I currently have. I can't wait til this spring, DH has promised that I can get some riding in and he will stay at camp with the little ones so I can get some hours on my horse.

Through the winter I play volleyball on a coed league. I really love it, but I think I am going to have to sit this year out. I ruptured a disc in my back during this last pregnancy and I still haven't gotten rid of the pain 100% nor have I had time to strengthen my back muscles to avoid a repeat so it's probably best to take a small break and go back completely healthy.

I think that just about sums up me I can't wait to join you girls here at MDC!
