I'm teetering on the brink of the toddler forum, but my ds isn't walking yet, so here I stay for the moment.

My almost 13mo ds is having a hard time about things I don't remember my dd caring about at that age (now at 3.5 she totally has similar frustrations to what he has now).

Prime example for the moment is that he takes the plastic containers (think yogurt or sour cream containers) out of the drawer and tries to put the lids on them. He gets super frustrated and yells and cries. He doesn't want me to help, and if I do he just winds up being mad that he can't get the lid back off. He has been doing this for about a week, and he does it with other things. I just distracted him from the containers by giving him a couple sauce pans with lids he can use a little more easily.

Have you experienced this with your children? Does it get better, or will he just spend the next 10 years being irate about things he can't quite do yet?
