My indoor kitty is not indoors. We cleaned our siding and windows on the front of the house yesterday and the screens were moved to the other side. Last night my husband opened the windows back up and later we went to bed. Around 1 AM our oldest kitty started pestering him for the usual late night can of cat food. He didn't do it until I guess 4:30ish or 5 and when only one cat came running (the oldest), he discovered that the other 3 jumped out of one of the front windows. Our young cat-ling was on the back deck like I'm sure her mother trained her--close to home and safe from danger. After an hour of scouring the neighborhood, our boy cat came home. He roams sometimes for an hour at a time.
Our fourth cat has not returned. I've called the police and several local vets. Animal Control is closed today for the holiday. I've put up flyers and talked to neighbors. I've called and manifested a happy outcome all day long. I'm ready for her to come home and I'd like help locating her. I know she's terrified and since she went out the front, she might have bolted somewhere unknown to her. She accompanies us into the backyard here and there, so that would've been familiar territory (not that she hasn't snuck up front a few times though!!!).
Any good recos?

My parents have a 12 year old snobby Persian mix cat who had never been outdoors a day in his life...they had moved to a new place, in the country, which shook him up...lived across the street from a lake with an alligator, lived near woods with various predators, including large birds of prey...and he was missing for almost 3 months. They were sure he was dead. Then one day, he showed up on their porch...scared, hair matted, a bit thin, but totally fine, and ready to go back to his pampered lifestyle
Kitties are smart, and they can find their way home.
