ds is having his first overnight stay..support pls!!!

dh & i haven't been apart from ds (3) for more than a few hours since he's been born. since he recently stopped nursing to sleep (still has a little milk before getting in bed) and we have another one on the way due in feb. we figured it's now or not for a long time. my bday is wed. and we are going to the city for the day and coming back late. ds will stay with my dad and his wife who he stays with about 5 hours one day a week anyway. he loves going to their house and being with them, but of course i'm still nervous although i'm also looking forward to our day alone!!!! just reassure me that he'll be fine!

i FINALLY spent my first night away from DD just recently, and she's 18 months! it's very hard being away the first night, but you will SOOOOO appreciate having that time with DH, just you two alone. your kiddo will have a GREAT time with the grandparents. grandparents are great at keeping the kids buys all day so they sleep like a log at night!! everything will be wonderful, and you will love the alone time! and if you need to call, just do it. you're the mother, it's your right!

DH and I just spent the weekend in another city while DD (19 months) spent the weekend with her grandparents. She had a fabulous time and we got some time away before we get pregnant with our second!
