Today, they need to draw a picture from Theseus and the Minotaur or of bull jumping and eat black and green olives. Tomorrow, we move onto the Myceneans.

We're on CH 10 of SOTW2, which deals with Australia and New Zealand. In American History we're talking about the Aztecs. We went light on history this week because we focused so much on science for Earth Science Week and National Fossil Day.

And my son read 2 chapters in "The Corn Grows Ripe" which is about a Mayan Indian boy. (We are working on Sonlight Core 3). My kids are really enjoying reading together, although initially my son said he didn't want to learn about Native Americans, he wanted to learn about American history... I had to inform him that the Native Americans were here long before the Europeans came over!
We are finishing Walk Around the World's Rim Next is Pedro's Journey on my list.

How are you liking CORE 3? We are enjoying it so far.
