Tuna for lunch or no?? - Page 2

I am very worried about mercury and it's effect on a developing brain and i've always avoided tuna while pregnant and breastfeeding. I won't let my little kids eat it either. wild salmon is a great substitute though! the brands in the foil packs are wild and make great sandwiches. not missing a thing!

edited to add: i have read that alot of those gov't "lists" about how much is safe to eat were greatly influenced by the seafood industry/lobbyist. just saying...

My family switched to canned salmon with my first pregnancy and we haven't looked back. It's not too pricey, and all canned salmon is wild caught. Prepare it just the same as tuna. I am in the camp that doesn't trust mainstream reporting on true mercury levels in tuna.
