Long story short: DH loves the name Jack, I accept all the reasons it's great, despite the fact that I would pick something else if he didn't love it so much, too popular for my liking. That aside, it's a middle name I'm after:

Jack Finnegan: cute on first consideration, then, almost too cute, too good-time-boy, makes me want to dance a jig...

Jack Everett: More dignified, I love Everett and it compliments Jack, I think

Jack Sullivan: I like Sullivan, but as a middle name, not sure, sounds like a family name, which it isn't, but good for the same reasons as Everett, IMO.

Last name is two syllable that ends in -er, so no sawyer, parker, etc. would work. I also like Stellan...

Any other ideas are welcome. I may change my mind on Jack before long, but for now, these are the likely options. Thanks, mamas!!

I voted on Everett but... to be honest... middle names dont matter much to people outside of immediate family. Dont worry about a name sounding too cute.

I mean... as long as you dont name him something like Jack Daniels *last name* or plan on calling him by first-middle or just middle name... not many people will ever know/remember his middle name.

I worried about middle names at the beginning of my pregnancy... as I had promised DH we would give baby his parents middle names as middle names (father for boy, mother for girl) but I made the promise before finding out their middle names.

His mothers happens to be mine... and DD1s. So now both of my daughters have the same middle name as me!

Buuuut... whatever. lol. Im the only one who will be calling her Maeryn Jean on a regular basis.

So... I say go with what you like the most, or what means the most to you, if that be the case... because yours is the opinion that matters most!

They all sound like surnames to me, but I like Finnegan the most.

MP: I do see myself using both names when calling him, I do sometimes with DD since she has a single syllable name too, the first and middle kind of flow together nicely. But you're right, in the grand scheme of things, most people won't know his middle name right off the bat...

I like Stellan. All the others sound like last names to me.

Jack Everett is great. But don't fret too much... unless you live in the South where middle names are used a lot.. no one else will know.

I voted for Jack Everett mainly because it flows the best IMO.

I, too, really like the sound of Jack Everett.

Our boy name is Jack Tiberius, but your DH probably wouldn't like that unless he's a Trekkie.

I voted for Everett.

I just wanted to say thanks for the opinions, I really appreciate it! I'm glad that most people are liking Everett, it has really grown on me and DH. (Mandy, I don't think Jack Tiberius would fly lol!!)
