help me mamas, to look at this with perspective
i hear ALL the time... like ALL the time.. that ydd is so small.
she is 15.8 lbs at 9 months old.. she has been in the 15lb range for about two months..
she was very slow to gain as a young babe... had a few weeks where she didnt gain enough.. and one week she didnt gain at all. the midwives were concerned enough to ask us to follow with her doc, for weigh ins.. and she did gain much quicker after temporarily weaned (mostly weaned) her older sister.
but still now she gains very slowly or not at all.
she has a lot of poopy diapers.
they are still mostly breastfed poops.. although she has had solids she has refused more often than she eats them.. and she really only likes carb-type foods.. pasta, breads and the like. i offer lots of choices all the time and generally dont stress, i know kids will self regulate if you keep offering the good stuff. but the comments and her slow weight has me worried.
i try to give her high fat foods when she does eat.. like avocado.
hmm a couple of other notes, she looks plump enough (not emaciated, has some chub on her legs) and is hitting milestones appropriately... ill try to load a pic for reference too!
