I never pumped, and dd never got a bottle b/c I was always with her. When she was 9 mo I got a manual pump b/c I had to go to a weekend workshop and she'd be with her dad alone for 3 hr stretches. She refused a sippy cup of bm (and I got called out of class a couple times). Given that experience, and the fact that she's older, I just stopped worrying about it. I slowly returned to working, first just a couple hours a week, never away longer than 3 hrs. But I just got more work and so have a couple days a week when I'm gone for a 6 hour stretch in the morning and then another couple hours at night. Those days she seems to nurse only once, midday, and then again at bedtime. In general it seems like she's nursing less during the day, even days when I'm with her all day. I'm worried that she'll wean...

My schedule will only be nutty like this for another month or two, so I'd hate for it to prematurely shorten her nursing life span. Should I be pumping days when I'm away for many hours and leaving her with bm? Or is she old enough, and my supply well established enough, that it doesn't matter anymore?
