So, for NY, I can't claim religious exemption if I do some vax? My Doctor is really pushing me to do all of the vaccines now, while baby girl is under a year. We started DTaP, Hib and PC at 6 months, and those were the only ones I was going to get until she was over two. I don't really ever want to get the Hep B or Chickenpox vaccines, but don't really see any way around them. Is this right? I am so frustrated that we have to give all of these just so she can go to school. Any advice from fellow New Yorkers?

You could try. All you are required to do in NYS is submit a vaccine card from your doctors office at registration, or the exmeption letter stating your are religiously opposed to ALL VACCINES. However, I wouldnt recommend that. There is or will probably be some sort of state vaccine registry that I have yet to find that show what you have vaxxed for and when. Since NY is an all or nothing state, you dont want to get caught telling a lie.

will your daughter be going to school before 2? if not, you can delay anything you want until after 2 (your doc could discontinue your relationship over it though!)
No way around the chicken pox unless your daughter gets the wild virus before Kindergarten (you can always get titers checked). As a former NYC mom, I can tell you if you decide not to vax at all, it can still be really tough in NY to get that religious exemption. Good luck!
ETA: I found this - the requirements for school entry in NY....some of the dosing is less than the CDC schedule. The second page has all the little ins and outs and exceptions:
