Getting my period already?

You guys...I think I'm getting my period already. I stopped pp bleeding completely by around 4 weeks, and here at 6.5 weeks I'm getting some bleeding again, and I've gotten a few small zits on my face.

WTH? I bf on demand, which I thought was supposed to keep aunt flo at bay for at least 6 months. I feel cheated of a few more period-free months!!!

In my last ddc (dec 2005) a few of us had a weird pp bleeding thing at either 6 wks or 8 wks (I don't remember) that we thought was our periods starting, but turned out not to be AF. I didn't get real AF until 11 mos pp.

Last time I had a return of post-partum bleeding at 9 weeks, a few weeks after my bleeding had stopped. It went on for a few days, then stopped again. I was period-free for well over a year.

I actually had my 6 week PP checkup w/ my midwife today and told her about the bleeding--she said it wasn't a period, but just my body getting rid of any leftover stuff up there (but said much more eloquently than that...), so I'm hoping that's the case!

With my daughter my postpartum bleeding stopped at 4 weeks and at 6 weeks I got my period back. I know it was my period because it came back regular after that. Sucks and like you I thought it wouldn't return as fast since I was breastfeeding on demand.
