Bed-Rest Mama's?

Im finding it really challenging to be on bed-rest.
Im a do-it-yourself kind of person and Im efficient at how I get things done and I like doing things my way and I hear my family struggling to find things in the kitchen/house or needing help and I just cannot get up to help them. its So frustrating. Its not like I could just jump up even if I was allowed.. I have broken or cracked ribs and pneumonia at 36 weeks so im feeling pretty bad, and in a LOT of pain.... but still im finding it harder every day to be not doing the usual things that Im used to.. getting up, making breakfast, tidying up, washing dishes.. I actually miss cleaning a bit! walking somewhere with my littlem ones (i have 3) i LOVE this time of year and its passing me by!
and the urge to nest is SO strong and what can I do other than knit? its just so frustrating. Thank goodness for laptops is all I can say. There is only so much napping a person can do in a day.

any other bed-rest mamas out there?

I can sympathize. I'm not on official bedrest, but if I exert myself at all I start getting tons of uncomfortable contractions and pelvic pain. So I'm effectively stuck in bed most of the time, and when I do get up I can't do much of anything. I'm going nuts wanting to nest and clean and go for walks and be a normal functional human being. But I guess it's just me and my laptop and my books for the next several weeks.

I'm trying to see it as good practice for letting go of control.

This too shall pass...
