can't keep poo in the prefold anymore!

my LO is 6 1/2 months, EBF, and poops every other day. i've used the angel fold with my prefolds since he was a newborn, and had occasional blow-outs, but now that he's pooping less often, every one escapes onto the cover!

any tips?

btw, i use snappies

Is it escaping up the back or out the legs?

Beyond about 6 wks, the angel wing didnt work for us anymore. I have a much better time w the jelly roll fold.

What size prefolds? could it be time to size-up?

i think the size is fine, the poo is always escaping out the legs. i thought the gussets made by the angel fold were the bomb.... til now.

is the jelly roll good for leg leak?

Jelly roll is the best for leg leaks. Tuck the roll into the crease, and fasten it snuggly.

Will the jelly roll fold work if I'm using covers instead of a snappi? I use mostly Bummis Super Whisper Wraps, also some home-made covers and just fold the prefold into thirds, but I have poop on the leg openings of the covers at least 3 times a day, sometimes at every change.

No. Get a snappi. They are awesome. Saves your covers too, because you don't have to wash as frequently.

This started happening with my DD when she started getting mobile. No fold would work because she'd crawl or stand and the fabric would loosen, creating a poop escape route. The solution that's working best for me was getting more covers, trifolding, and tossing the poopy covers in the diaper pail. I was so stressed over folds and trying to keep the covers pristine, it was making me a little nuts! Plus, trifolding is so much easier and trimmer on her.

Wait... so poop is not supposed to go on the cover? I've tried every type of fold and poops have always soiled the covers as well. I thought that's the way it just is. I never had any problems while washing it out with my diapers though.
