Charting Software VENT - if you chart, you need to read this!

Ok, so I had 10 cycles on my charting software, one of which was 4 days, a break day, then spotting. The software read it as TWO different periods, which made my average cycle 23 days, rather than the correct 26. It also made me think my luteal phase was short, which I've been totally worried about because we're going to start TTC soon. Please sub this so many people get a a chance to see it.

I never would have know had I not experimented with 'adding back' the day between my bleeding and spotting.

Hope this helps someone besides me!

Are you using FF or something else? FF doesn't count my "spotting" as a period at all. I've reported it mid-cycle, and during half of my luteal phase, and it most hasn't started a new period at either of those points. You have to mark at least light flow to get a new cycle.

No I use my monthly cycles - for some reason I didn't like FF as much, but I'm thinking about using them both now, because they both have complementary good points.

i love ff. and one of the features is you can choose not to include a particular cycle in your stats if it is wonky or for whatever reason.
