bedroom shoes

anyone have a kids bedroom shoe they really like? Our ds has been wearing lined crocs in the house in the cooler weather, and we really like the structure of the shoe and the comfy-ness of the lining...BUT....the lining is synthetic fleece and after only a day or two it STINKS!!! We have to pull it out and wash it frequently. I don't really favor shearling, because his feet get really sweaty. Would love a shoe with a natural (not scratchy) lining. I wear those boiled wool clogs, but I have not seen them for kids....

any recommendations? thanks!

They are very comfy or at least thats what the boys say plus they hold up VERY well, well enough that I have passed down several prs among my boys and thats a lot to say around here. We have hardwood floors so in the winter it can get chilly and these keep them toasty plus easily machine washable.

I have those crocs. So nice and warm but I cannot wear them without socks because of that synthetic nonabsorbent liner. I'm thinking of trying to knit or crochet new ones out of a different material. I know I saw a pattern somewhere, maybe on ravelry. Maybe it would be easier to felt an old wool sweater, cut it down and sew new liners.

This is what DS wears as well.

thanks very much for this tip -- do the Hanna Anderson mocs breathe pretty well, avoiding the stinky-sweaty problem?

Can he leave them on for hours?

Or would you recommend 2 pairs so they can be regualrly washed with a spare pair available?
