Wanna Play Name Games With Me? (please?)

We're having a little trouble with names for #2.
Our front runner for boys is Eamon (Ay-min is the closest I can phonetically put it!). DD is Maren (basically Erin, with an "M"). Are the two too matchy, or too close phonetically? The other boy options are Nathaniel (Nate) and Luka.

And then, girls, oh, we're lost!
Calla
Verity
Anaiah (An-eye-ah)
Zoe

We like to give one more unusual/uncommon without being too nutty name, and then one that's more common/ordinary. The idea being that the kids can then have a backup name if they wind up hating their first name at some point. With that in mind, is Anaiah Verity too "weird"?

Eamon and Maren are too close in my opinion.

Not crazy about Luka.

Calla is lovely.

I wouldnt worry about matching... but then my first two both start with Ma, have TT and are 8 letters... and my third starts with Ma also. Not on purpose. And I dont care that they match lol... no one has said anything other than they like my taste in names. Well, except my dad but he just calls my kids the M&Ms.

Mothering magazine has an article in it this month about naming babies. They gave a link to this -website

might give you some totally new name ideas!

Love Nathaniel and Zoe.

I love all your names! For me, I'm not sure I'm wild about the combination of Anaiah and Verity--but I like both names separately. I like your strategy of one more unusual one and one more traditional one.

Eamon is in my top 3 favorite boy names, but it just sounds weird with our last name. I wouldn't worry too much about them sounding "matchy" but that's just me.

I like all your girl names ... so no help here. LOL

I don't think Eamon and Maren are too matchy-matchy. =)

I like Anaiah. I haven't heard it before-it's pretty and uncommon.

I had neighbors growing up named Sonnen and Maren. Sisters! I always thought there names sounded great together. Maybe if you have another girl you can name her Sonnen. (sawn-in)
